The moment that everyone is waiting for has come, as the World Poker Tour’s Legend of Poker Main Event starts today at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. The event will feature a $5,000 worth buy-in that will run up to August 25 and the finale table will be featured on TV.

For the previous year, the Legends of Poker Main Event is available at $10,00o buy-in and there were 279 players compete for the prize pool worth $2,650,500. Last year, the lucky winner was Prahlad Friedman  who won $1,034,000.

For this year event, poker pros such as Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Hellmuth, Greg Mueller will take part in the event as well as Friedman who will defend his title.

There were 22 events out of 26 that were already included in the schedule of the Legends of Poker. On Thursday, the event will be aired on TV with the segment entitled, “The Raw Deal” the host of the show will be Simon Cowel.  It’s time for players to use their might to survive in the game.
